Andreas Demetriades graduated in Medicine from Cambridge University, and completed his neurosurgical residency at King’s College Hospital, London, with fellowships in complex spine in Munich and Oxford. He currently works at the Department of Neurosurgery, Division of Clinical Neurosciences, NHS Lothian, Edinburgh University Hospitals. His clinical and research interests are aligned in spinal surgery outcomes, trigeminal neuralgia, traumatic cranio-spinal injury, neuro-oncology, and neurosurgery in general. He has set up the Edinburgh Spinal Surgery Outcomes Study Group, where visiting researchers can collaborate. He is the President-elect of the EANS (European Association of Neurosurgical Societies).
